An internally displace woman has been rendered homeless following a fire incident that ravished her home in Tiko subdivision, Fako Division of the Southwest region.
According to information gathered, the fire incident happened few days ago in the Long Street neighbourhood.
Though the real cause of the inferno remains unknown, inhabitants of the area believed the fire was caused by short-circuit.
Reports say the lady originates from the Northwest region, had escaped from severe gun battles between separatist fighters and the Security and defence forces in her village, to take refuge in Tiko where relative calm reigns.
The Six-month old pregnant woman and mother of one, was unable to retrieve a single property from the one room house she was renting.
A similar fire incident had been reported in Limbe, Fako division where several wooden houses were burnt to ashes on Sunday August 2, 2020.
