A military man with a rank of a colonel whose name we could not get is reportedly supplying counterfeit money to taxi drivers and bike riders in Yaounde.

According to information from The Post newspaper, the source that confided the information to the paper was invited by the said military man to join the illegal business, which he rejected the offer.

“I declined to join, because I didn’t want to indulge in illegal business that will possible end up sending me to prison. I am not rich but I do not want to have money from a bad source”, the person said.

Taxi drivers and moto bike riders circulate these counterfeits during their working hours, particularly at night by sharing them to their customers as their balance.

As of now, many persons are getting involved in the illegal business, forgetting the repercussions that await victims.
