Story, Louvier Kindo Tombe
The recent action of the MP was an audience at the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hon. Agho Oliver and the Saudi diplomat dwelled on cooperation ties between both countries especially but not limited to the Babanki Islamic Center.
Two major aspects were examined. The health of the conjoined twins Sheveboh and Phembom Akumbo, and the present state of the Islamic Center.
Hon. Agho Oliver revealed to the Diplomat that the health of the twin has not been the best for a while now. They have undergone a series of surgeries and presently need urgent intervention. He presented current picture of the twin to the diplomat.
In response, the diplomat did not hesitate to inform the member of parliament that Saudi Arabia would be glad to step in again to secure that the twin are in good health. He disclosed possibilities of an eventual medical evacuation abroad.
The twin it should be noted are the reason why the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia donated the Islamic Center to the Babanki community.
Grateful for the Islamic Center planted in their community by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the people however regret the fact that the center has come of age with little or no repairs making it difficult to fully serve the community.
Their cries and expectations were transmitted to the diplomat during the audience by Hon. Agho Oliver.
The Health Center of the Islamic Center for instance now operates below it’s full capacity, the road leading to the Islamic Center is not accessible especially during the rainy seasons, management of the center is not helping things out among others.
According to Hon. Agho Oliver, the Babanki community wants The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to fully steps in the management of the center to give it back the dignity it deserves.
The community wish to see the access road to the center (about 20km from Bamenda) rehabilitated, the Health Center upgraded to a full scale hospital and equipped with basic drugs and a resident doctor including other staff, a vocational training center is constructed among many other changes that would empower the population economically.
Reacting to the other cooperation worries from the community, the charger D’affair said it would please Saudi Arabia to regain management of the center and they will work relentlessly towards that. By regaining management of the center, many other rehabilitation works will follow so far as the security and safety of the community is ensured.
The member of parliament for Bafut-Tubah constituency assured the diplomat that within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Cameroon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, everything will be put in place to boost the cooperation.
The diplomat disclosed that a delegation from Saudi Arabia will visit Cameroon next week and one of their mission will be to visit the Babanki Islamic Center, to take stock of the state of affairs ahead of further actions to be taken.

Fruitful Efforts
The audience at the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is just one action in a series embraced by the member of parliament for Bafut-Tubah constituency to promote community development in his constituency.
When the cooperation agreement between Cameroon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was adopted in parliament during the November 2022 session, Hon. Agho Oliver questioned government’s actions towards promoting the cooperation especially with regards to the Babanki Islamic Center in the North West region.
The audience was just a continuation of efforts from the MP in that light and Hon. Agho Oliver Bamenju he would only stop when his people stop complaining.
