The theme for the 2022 edition of Kejom Excellence Days was “Peace an Unity”, and it was in line with the vision of Hon. Agho Oliver who since his election as MP has been leaving no stone unturned to promote.
The celebration of Kejom Excellence Days in Yaoundé was another perfect opportunity for the people’s representative to sensitize his people.
“I am from the Kejom community, we have Kejom Keku and Kejom Ketinguh but we are one people”, Hon. Agho told the organising committee of the event during an audience he granted them in Yaounde prior to the closing ceremony.
“Our parents never fought to seperate, and ever since some of them left to a different location, we have continued to share a common language, culture and tradition which makes us remain one big community within Tubah Sub Division”, he continued.
One of the activities during the Excellence Days that actually promoted living together in peace was a football tournament that was dubbed “Kejom Peace and Unity Tournament”.
To encourage the initiative, Hon. Agho Oliver supported with the sum of FCFA 200.000, promising to do better in subsequent editions.
The Member of Parliament lauded the unity vision of the two sister villages saying it will benefit the enlarge Kejom community on multiple fronts.
“It will help the Kejom people to go far, because they used to say if you want to go far, move along together, but if you want to go fast, move alone”, Hon. Declared, adding that;
“It will help in domains like Education, Development, Economy, Culture and Tradition as well as in politics.
The MP did not hesitate to remind the enlarge Kejom Community that growth and development can best cone to them if they continue to live in peace and as one person.
Kejom Excellence Days 2022, that held between July and August brought together over one thousands people and equally saw the presence of the two Fons of the Kejom community.
HRM, Fon Vutsiboung Benjamin Vubangsi of Kejom Keku, and his brother, HRM Fon Sheteh Nelson V., while saluting the unity vision of the Kejom community encouraged every son and daughter of the community to contribute and nake it an annual event.
The next edition was taken for 2023, and the organisation will be national.
