By deciding to empower youth in Cameroon through innovative and creative ventures, Emmi Empire wants to avoid a situation where young people will be dependent on imported products for their livelihood. The founder of Emmi Empire, Dr. EriseMary Dinga, speaking during the summit said there is urgent need to create a new mindset for the new generation which will be multi-tasking.

“We should make this generation to understand that there’s wealth, if they can manage time,” Dr. EriseMary Dinga said.

The one day youth summit was marked by special presentations, and workshops with the objective of empowering participants in diverse domains.

“We told the youth to be more implicated in their professional and corporate millieu,” says Ornella De VINYLE NZOUEGOU, Cameroon’s Youth Connekt Ambassador.

She was one of the guest speakers at the Douala summit. “We also encouraged and accompanied them with technical resources, funding, and much more, for them to become competitive entrepreneurs”.

The summit that falls within the framework of activities marking the 58th edition of the Youth Day in Cameroon was timely, given that Cameroon to a greater extend still depends on imported goods. A situation that pushes the younger generation to want to travel abroad at all cost. The objectives of the summit equally matches the theme for this year’s youth day, “Youth: import substitution, and economic patriotism for the development of the country “. The youth thus have task to contribute in nation building, and that is why Emmi Empire is empowering them in that light.

“Some of us have succeeded in Cameroon because somebody helped us,” Says Kum Leonard, another guest speaker at thr summit.

“We believed in ourselves, we stayed consistent and dedicated to what ever task was assigned to us, we think youth out there should shun distractions.”

It is not the first time the foundation, Emmi Empire Inc. is educating, motivating, empowering, sensitizing, and accompanying the youths and women in the country.

In 2022, Emmi Empire organized an important leadership summit in Douala dub, “Emmi Global Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit”.
