The MinAT boss in a release signed July 15, 2020 indicates that because of the growing effects of COVID-19, Cameroonian muslim faithful will not be allowed to travel to Mecca this year.
It is a decision from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Only muslims residing in Saudi Arabia would have the previledge the attend the event.
Minister Paul Atanga Nji, who is President of the National Commission for Hadj has called on the various group leaders of the trip to take special note and inform their members accordingly.
Special note should equally be taken by muslim faithful for some unscrupulous individuals who are fun of dubious acts can trick potential pilgrims to register for the trip that will not happen.
