Traditions chiefs of the West Region of Cameroon say they are disgruntled with the attitude of some of their colleagues who are not showing full support for the regime in place.
They have reaffirmed their unshakable support for the Head of State in his actions geared towards a peaceful, stable, united and prosperous Cameroon.
This information is contained in a three page document signed by some 40 traditional rulers of the West Region, after a meeting at the CAPLAMI conference hall of Bafoussam on Friday December 04th 2020.
The traditional Chiefs have saluted the efforts of the Head of State towards achieving peace and solidarity in the country, particularly in the Far North and the restive North West and South West Regions rocked by the Boko Haram and separatist insurgencies.
The traditional leaders also congratulated the head of State for his steady promotion of democracy despite the repeated attempts of insurrections from certain opposition political parties.
The credited the Head of State for promoting democracy through the organization of Regional Elections.
In the socioeconomic sphere, the chiefs adhered to the efforts of President Paul Biya towards curbing tribalism and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They also showed appreciation for the various projects realized in their Region, particularly those in line with the hosting of the 2022 AFCON.
It is worth noting that this traditional Chiefs proposed the pursuit of dialogue and the creation of a house of chiefs in the region with an advisory voice to the Regional Councils.
To them, these would lead to a complete return to peace, a better mastery of the COVID-19 pandemic, to the consolidation and completion of the democratic system, to the resilience and revival of the economy for the emergency of the country by 2035.
