A Workshop on the internal ownership of the National Development Strategy 2020-2030 took place in the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development on Tuesday January 19, 2021.

The workshop had as theme ” NDS30, for the structural transformation of the economy of Cameroon and an inclusive development”.

The works were chaired by the Minister of The Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey who indicated that officials of his ministerial department are key actors in the execution of the National Development Strategy, and thus need to master the major orientation of the Strategy, the mechanism for its implementation and how to mobilize and bring in the private sector in the strategy.

In a nutshell, the workshop was aimed at schooling MINEPAT officials on the major reforms earmarked in the National Development Strategy “NDS30” in order to identify the challenges to the taken by MINEPAT to guarantee an effective implementation of the strategy.

The workshop came shortly after the NDS30 was officially presented and launched in November 2020.

The purpose of the National Development Strategy is to achieve the structural transformation of the economy of Cameroon and the inclusive development of the different social categories.
