Students of the renowned ICT University alongside other young people have been inspired to dream big and maximize opportunities offered by the Internet and establish digital careers. The encouragement was from social media influencer, Steve Fah. He was speaking Thursday at the Yaounde Campus of the ICT University. This was during a conference to drill youths on the strategies and techniques to succeed online in the art of video content creation and placement.
The youths were empowered on ways to use content creation for monetization. “The goal should be to make money through social media,” Steve Fah said.
The conference in the form of a Master Class which took place at the George Mbarika Auditorium of the ICT University provided a unique opportunity for Steve Fah to share his unique experience and exploits to aspiring content creators. He drilled them on content creation secrets and how to use social media apps like Tik Tok, Facebook, U-Tube, Instagram, WhatsApp and Google by dropping quality images and text messages that can attract more followers.
Opening the workshop, ICT University Vice Chancellor, Prof Jean Emmanuel Pondi, urged students to take advantage of the rare gifts of Steve Fah and create positive impact in the world.
The students were more than attentive and participative as they did not hesitate to interrupt and ask questions for clarity. At the end of the conference, their appraisals were positive.
“We study ICT here, it’s true, but it is important for us to know how to earn money through social networks”, one of the students told News Upfront.
Another student said: “It’s good to know how to make social media a source of income. Beyond all this, we have learned to manage our publications well. We received all this advice with joy and will put it into practice.”
The master Class centered on “mastering the art of video content & the positioning of product: strategies and technics to succeed online”. The choice of the ICT-U to host this working session was very significant due to the training it offers. According to Steve Fah “after generating content, you should at all costs follow it and create interactions”.
